The AHYAA Majors League baseball program is for players in 5th and 6th Grade in Spring of 2019. This league builds on the basics taught in the Minors League, and incorporates additional baseball elements such as expanded base stealing, balks, longer base paths, a pitching mound, and no limit to the number of runs scored in a given inning.

We do keep score of the games, team records, and standings, and all teams will participate in the end-of-season playoffs. Managers will select their teams via a city wide draft where there are no geographical boundaries.

All parents are asked to participate in some manner (coaching, coordinating team activities, field set-up, etc...). Games are intended to be fun for all players, no matter what their talent level, and should serve as a foundation for all kids moving up to the Varsity level.

2019 Bat Rule: Players may use any wood bat. The barrel size of any metal or composite bat may not exceed 2¼ inches in diameter, and must be imprinted with the words “Approved for Little League” or words substantially similar thereto. Bats stamped with “USABat” will be allowed, but barrel size cannot exceed 2 5/8 inches.

Registration deadline is March 1st, any sign ups after this date are subject to being placed on a waiting list and are not guaranteed placement on a team.
