2022 Fall Competition Only Cowboy Cheerleading Program

2022 Fall Competition Only Cheerleading Season

The program will run from July through December, with practices scheduled for twice a week.  3 Competition dates between October - November with the possibility of competing at the IRCA State Competition in December with a qualifying bid.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

Athletes must be currently enrolled in the 2nd grade (up to 8th grade). It is preferred that the participants have previous cheer or tumbling experience, but not mandatory.  The level of commitment and competition may be higher depending on skill levels of each team, but most importantly we want everyone to have fun!

DRESS CODE

Cheerleaders shall wear their full competition uniform to all competitions. It is the responsibility of the cheerleader to ensure that the uniform is kept clean.

  • Hair should be up, with our cheer bow, and to coach’s specifications, prior to arriving at all competitions.
  • Cheer shoes must be worn during competitions. Please do not wear your cheer shoes outside or to any other events in an effort to keep them perfectly white and clean.
  • No jewelry, nail polish, or glitter is permitted for competitions due to the chance of disqualification.

PRACTICE SCHEDULE

Arlington Cowboys Cheer Teams will practice twice a week. Practices will begin after July 15, 2022.  All practices will be held at Frontier Park gym.

Due to the nature of the sport, a practice missed by one athlete has a significant impact on the team; when the coach must re-teach material to those who have been absent, stunting can not be practiced, and the whole squad’s practice time suffers.  As a result, attendance at all practices is a must.

Practice Attendance Policy: Athletes will be allowed to miss up to two (2) practices from the start of the season through April. If a athlete misses more than the allotted amount of practices, their continued participation in the program will be reviewed and decided upon by their Head Coach and the Director of Cheer.
